Johanna Wolfe

Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Johanna Wolfe received a B.A. in art history from Columbia University in 2002. Her photographs are composed topographies, examining the liminal areas both within a landscape and between the interactions among figures. She has worked in various media-based fields, including publishing, film festivals and television, where she produced observational documentary series for major cable networks. Upon receiving an M.F.A. in visual arts from Columbia University in 2010, she began teaching photography at the undergraduate level. Her photographs have been exhibited in New York and throughout the United States, and she recently opened a communal analog darkroom, Radiant Labs, in Long Island City, New York.
